Direkt neben dem Brunnen befindet sich das von 1971 bis 1977 errichtete staatliche Kunst- und Kulturzentrum Centre Georges Pompidou. Wir bekamen einen Stadtplan und gingen zuerst zum \u00e4ltesten Markt von Paris, dem March\u00e9 les Enfants Rouges. Anschlie\u00dfend schlenderten wir durch die Stra\u00dfe Rue des Rosiers. Hier soll es die besten Falafel des Landes geben, weshalb wir es uns nicht nehmen lie\u00dfen, eine T\u00fcte zu kaufen. Das Kennzeichen dieses Platzes ist die quadratische Form (140 x 140 m). Au\u00dferdem befindet sich hier eine Statue des franz\u00f6sischen K\u00f6nigs Louis XIII. Danach ging es f\u00fcr uns erst einmal zur\u00fcck ins Hotel, bevor wir uns abends auf den Weg zur Galeries Lafayette machten, einer luxuri\u00f6sen franz\u00f6sischen Warenhauskette. Das Pariser Stammhaus zeichnet sich vor allem durch seine Jugendstil-Architektur aus.
